The idea for this
website
came after reading an article in the January/February
2010 issue of AARP:
The Magazine called “Miracle
Makeover”, by Dan Buettner. It’s the story of how
people in the
small town of Albert Lea, Minnesota, got motivated, had
fun moving more
and eating well, made new friends, found a greater sense
of purpose and
maybe added years to their lives.
Our area already has a number of opportunities to help people in our community engage in these healthy behaviors. This website aims to be a one-stop spot for inspiration, opportunities and information about healthy living in Lane County.
